DESCRIPTION:The Coastal Kayak Strokes and Maneuvers Refinement course is designed to assist coastal kayakers refining basic and advancing strokes and maneuvers. Participants should have successfully completed a Level 2 or equivalent training. This full-day program will emphasize the following skills: \n\nImproving efficiency in your forward\, reserve\, and sweep strokes\nPreventing capsize through use of bracing\nDeveloping greater boat positioning abilities through refinement and application of blended strokes\nPerforming maneuvers using low brace turns\, bow/stern rudders\, and stationary draws\nPracticing self and assisted rescue techniques\n\nLocation: Traverse City area\, MI \nCost: $99 per participant \nDate: July 29\, 2023 \nTime: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm \n  \n \nReview course policies
